The latest details on the Audi R8 GT has been released.

To enhance the look and feel of the R8 GT, Audi added new parts which include a matte-titanium grille, LED headlights, a front splitter, carbon-fibre side-blades, an aggressive rear diffuser, a carbon fibre rear wing and a set of 19-inch wheels.

Naturally, the interior has been enhanced as well.

This being said, there is a new flat-bottom steering wheel, Alcantara upholstery, body-colour trim, a Bang & Olufsen sound system with 12 speakers, heated seats and carbon fibre trim.

All of the above, along with a thinner windshield, polycarbonate bulkheads and fibre-glass seats allow for an overall weight of 100 kilograms less than the standard model.

The total mass is now 1,525 kilograms.

Power will come from the R8 V10’s 5.2-litre V10 motor, however power has been increased by 26kW for a total of 412kW with 540Nm of torque.

There is a 0-100km/h of 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 320km/h when connected to the R tronic gearbox.

The drive layout sees the all-wheel-drive system send 85 percent of torque to the rear wheels.

There will only be 333 units created, where they will start at €193,000 in Germany.

Geely GE limousine

Chinese automaker Geely has redesigned the saloon accused of being a direct knock-off of the Rolls-Royce Phantom.

The Geely GE limo will be unveiled with a new look at the 2010 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition.

Changes to the Chinese car’s now curved front end begin with a brand new grille that is no longer linear, but rather rounded and with arched vertical bars.

Lexus LF-A in Europe (Img/Vid)


The 522-horsepower Lexus LFA has been the subject of a great deal of interest in Europe.

The company said that European interest has pushed the number of formal requests for the car well over the vehicle’s expected production run.

Lexus previously indicated that only 500 units of the LF-A would be produced.

Orders for the car, on sale in 56 different countries, will be accepted before the summer begins.

The Lexus LFA is capable of sprinting to 62mph in 3.7 seconds.

It is powered by a 4.8-liter V10 engine, and maintains a low weight with a carbon fiber body.

Audi E-tron The Smaller Electric Sports Coupe

Audi has unveiled a brand new full-electric sports car concept at the Detroit 2010 Auto Show.

The new Detroit Show Car boasts the Audi e-tron name and it will provide a vision on what small sports cars positioned below the R8 could look like.

The e-tron is a two-seater model features a ASF lightweight aluminium space frame and it will boast carbon fibre reinforced plastic hybrid body parts to keep the weird down to about 1,350kg.

There will four-electric motors, two at each axle and the car will be able to drive on two motors only.

There will be a combined power of 150kW with 1954lb-ft of torque.

The 0-100km/h time will be 5.9 seconds and the 60 to 120km/h sprint will be 5.1 seconds.

The top speed is said to be about 200km/h.

The Peugeot SR1 Concept

This new concept is called the Peugeot SR1 and it will reveal a slight hint at the company’s future design.

The SR1 will include a new large sculptured bonnet, a lower center of gravity, sweeping sides, a new rear design, LED headlights and a new designed lion badge.

Inside of the SR1 you can find a 2+1 type layout which allows minimal space for rear occupants.

Leather and wood accents are evident, and this will be alongside other materials such as nickel and satin-finished chrome.

Engine wise there will be a 1.6-litre THP petrol motor with 160kW coupled to a 70kW rear electric motor.

The overall output will be 230kW when the all-wheel-drive system is in full swing.

The average fuel consumption will be 4.9-litres per 100km/h while CO2 emissions are only set at 119g/km.

Expect a 2010 Geneva debut.

Mercedes Benz SL Night Edition and SLK Grand Edition

Mercedes-Benz has announced two special edition SL and SLK models.

The SL Night Edition is not a reference to when it can be driven but rather to the colours used inside and out.

Exterior paint finish is a designo magno night black matt matched with 19-inch AMG five-spoke alloys in a two-tone gloss finish and darkened lights on both ends.

It is also identifiable by a Night Edition badge on the front wings.

The interior features black nappa leather, shining chrome trim, a sports steering wheel, newly designed seats with silver linings and other details.

The smaller SLK Grand Edition has a designo graphite paint finish, 18-inch five triple spokers, colour-coded headlamps and silver fins on the bonnet.

Inside exclusive bits include red topstitching on the seats and door armrests, basalt grey nappa leather on the door linings and designo pearl leather on the side bolsters.

Mercedes-Benz E-Class Convertible (Img/Vid)

Mercedes-Benz has unveiled their brand new E-Class Cabriolet model.

This two-door model will have seven different engine configurations where sales will start on the 11th of January. Although the sales will start early, the official market launch will take place in March.

There will be six models with BlueEFFICIENCY and they include the 200 CGI, E250 CGI, E350 CGI, E220 CDI, E250 CDI, E350 CDI.

The diesel units range from 170 to 231-horsepower while the petrol units will start at 184-hp and end at 292-hp.

The E500 will have 388-horsepower from the 5.5-litre V8 unit.

There will be a new AirCap system which reduces the noise and turbulence.

The roof will be an acoustic soft top which keeps the interior comfortable and quiet up to 200km/h.

Expect to see seven airbags, thick dual rollover bars, tilt sensors and other safety features.
